We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Fitness Centre Supervisor / Instructor to join our Co-Curricular team on a casual basis. This role is vital in supporting our commitment to lifelong healthy habits and providing a safe, encouraging environment for students of all athletic abilities.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic staff member to supervise our on-site Fitness Centre during before and/or after-school sessions (approximately 2-hour shifts).

The student population utilising the gym is diverse, ranging from beginners who are new to a fitness environment to talented representative athletes following specific strength and conditioning programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety & Supervision: Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, ensuring all equipment is used correctly and the space remains tidy.
• Program Development: Design and implement termly fitness programs tailored to students who require guidance and individual goals.
• Technical Coaching: Actively monitor students to correct form and technique, preventing injury and optimizing performance.
• Mentorship: Provide encouragement and professional advice to foster a love for physical activity and confidence in a gym setting.

Essential Criteria:

• Qualifications: Must hold a current Level 1 Sports and Conditioning Accreditation OR a Certificate III or IV in Fitness, and a current first aid certificate.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to instruct various exercises and adapt coaching styles for different skill levels.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and school staff.
• Values: A commitment to supporting the mission and Benedictine values of the College.
• Valid Working with Children Check

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic coach (casual) for our upcoming Volleyball seasons in Term 4, 2026 and Term 1, 2027.

Mount St Benedict College offers a broad and engaging range of Co-Curricular activities to enrich our girls learning experiences. We are committed to offering all students the opportunity to participate in sport, no matter their experience or ability, to promote lifelong healthy habits, and foster a love of sport at Mount St Benedict College. Applications are invited from enthusiastic and committed coaches to join our morning coaching program at the College. 

Sessions run during the afternoon across 2 sessions from 3:30-4:45 and 4:45-6pm depending on venue and coach availability. Coaches are required to commit to at least one midweek training session and one Saturday morning game, with the option to express interest in multiple sessions if desired. The anticipated commencement for these roles will be the week of October 12th and will run for an 8 week season in Term 4. The Term 1 season is anticipated to commence the week of February 1st and will also run for an 8 week season.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated and ideally possess extensive playing experience, and/or coaching experience in schools, clubs or elite sporting programmes. 

Essential Criteria

• Paid Working with Children check 
• Have a keen interest and passion for sport and coaching.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and teachers.
• Availability to hold at minimum, one training per week and attend one scheduled interschool sport game.
• Ability to take direction and feedback to improve practice.
• Enthusiasm to work in collaboration with the college staff to bring about meaningful sporting opportunities and experiences.

The College is seeking a temporary Dance Academy Convenor for the 2027 school year. This is a 0.4 FTE role with the ability to negotiate the hours and days of work. The purpose of this position is to deliver a comprehensive, enriching and high achieving cocurricular dance program. The Dance Convenor needs to be able to guide and advise the relevant dance academy staff to enable the enhancement and development of an exceptional cocurricular dance program.  They will successfully lead programs that make a positive contribution to the quality of the College and experience of the students. 

Essential

•  Demonstrated qualifications and/or experience in Dance and cocurricular programs in an educational setting
• Established capability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including (but not limited to) students, parents, staff and peripatetic music tutors
•  Proven ability to lead a team, with a high level of emotional intelligence to influence others (to deliver vision) and negotiate resolution of conflict 
•  Demonstrated excellence in organisational, problem solving and time management skills
•  Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Consistent adherence to and role modelling of high standard of ethical conduct, exhibiting honesty, integrity and understanding in accordance with the Good Samaritan ethos.
• Understanding of appropriate legislation, especially copyright, and risk management
• Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR. Working with Children Check

Desirable

• Expertise and recent experience in leading, organising and administering quality cocurricular program in an educational setting
• Proven ability to lead initiatives that make a positive contribution to the quality of a cocurricular program and student wellbeing in an educational setting
• Hold professional and personal attributes that encourage and influence others to reflect and improve their practice
