Basketball Coach

About the Role

Mount St Benedict College, Pennant Hills is a Catholic girl’s high school of Good Samaritan education, offering holistic education based on Benedictine values of Pax, Hospitality and Stewardship.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic coach (casual) for our upcoming Basketball season.

Mount St Benedict College offers a broad and engaging range of Cocurricular activities to enrich our girls' learning experiences. We are committed to offering all students the opportunity to participate in sport, no matter their experience or ability, to promote lifelong healthy habits, and foster a love of sport at Mount St Benedict College.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and committed coaches to join our morning coaching program at the College. Sessions run on a weekday morning from 7:00–8:15am or of an afternoon from 3:20-4:30pm depending on venue and coach availability. Coaches are required to commit to at least one midweek training session and one Saturday morning game, with the option to express interest in multiple sessions if desired.

The anticipated commencement for these roles will be the week of April 27th and will run for an eight-week season.

A current first aid certification is desirable. All coaches are required to hold a paid Working with Children Check (WWCC) number. 

The successful applicants will be highly motivated and ideally possess extensive playing experience, and/or coaching experience in schools, clubs, or elite sporting programmes. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with people at all levels in the Mount St Benedict College community. 


Essential Criteria

  • Have a keen interest and passion for sport and coaching.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and teachers.
  • Availability to hold at minimum, one training per week and attend one scheduled interschool sport game.
  • Ability to take direction and feedback to improve practice.
  • Enthusiasm to work in collaboration with the college staff to bring about meaningful sporting opportunities and experiences.
 

Desirable but Non-Essential Criteria

  • Coaching qualifications
  • First Aid Certificate

Rates of pay

Casual award pay scale begin at $36 Mon-Fri and from $49 per hour on Saturdays, based on experience, qualifications, and day/time worked.

Maintenance Assistant

Permanent - Full Time

The College offers holistic Catholic education based on Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition and values including Pax, Hospitality and Stewardship.

We are currently looking for a  Maintenance Assistant to join our Facilities team on a Permanent Full Time basis. The Maintenance Assistant is part of a small facilities team responsible for maintaining the College grounds and facilities and setting up events such as assemblies. 


Essential

Accountant (Accounts Recievable)

Permanent - Full Time

Mount St Benedict College, is a girls high school established by the Sisters of Good Samaritan Education with a community of ten schools across Australia. The College offers holistic Catholic education based on Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition and values including Pax, Hospitality and Stewardship.

We are currently looking for an Accountant (Accounts Receivable) to join our Finance team on a Permanent Full Time basis. This is a term time only role. The Accountant –Accounts Receivable is responsible for the effective administration of the College’s fee and debtor management processes. The role supports the financial operations of the College through accurate invoicing, receipting, debtor follow‐up, cash handling,reconciliations, and collaboration with key internal stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Appropriate knowledge of generally accepted accounting concepts and principals including accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers
  • General administration experience and knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and office administration, including the ability to operate computerised accounting, spreadsheet and word processing programs and email at a highly proficient level
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

DESIRABLE

  • Certificate or Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • Knowledge and experience in educational or not‐for‐profit entities will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of general business management practices
  • 2‐3 years’ experience in a similar role with collection of debt responsibilities
  • Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR
