Residential Education Program
The Residential Education Program at Mount St Benedict College plays an important role in the lives of our students. As a compulsory part of school, not only do these residential experiences assist the physical and emotional wellbeing of our students, but they also encourage their spiritual development. Whilst each experience has its own distinct ‘flavour’, all of the programs provide activities, experiences and challenges that are beneficial to our students’ learning.
The Program at the College consists of both Camps and Retreats which occur annually. The Residential Education Program links the classroom curriculum, the Mission Programs and Pastoral Care Programs to the outdoors, and allow students to learn through practical experience, reflection, and discussion. Students are challenged to engage in environmentally sustainable living practices and to develop key personal and social competencies.
