My Textiles Major Project is a two-piece set, comprised of a skirt and a corset. I took inspiration from Victorian era corsets, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and the cultural significance of the butterfly. I incorporated techniques including gathering, couching, make-your-own fabric and gathered ribbon insertions in my design.

My Major Textiles Project is an ivory and blue monochromatic two-part design of a skirt and corset. The apparel piece of formal attire is designed from the Chinese culture of porcelain, the historical smocking and corsetry and the contemporary designer of house of CB Conna Walker - incorporating reverse pleating, smocking, ruching and various detailed manufacturing techniques to create a fully lined functioning garment.

My Major Textiles Project is a one-piece corset dress. Its purpose is to be worn as evening wear or formal wear to such events, for example, the Melbourne Cup or a Red-Carpet event. It was inspired by the Louvre, iPhone 11 Pro and 18th Century whale bone corsets. Techniques included are reverse pleats, beading, gathering, boning, bias-binding and more.
Sabrina Losurdo
My Major Textiles Project is an apparel item; a lined coat with a decorative inspired component which can be attached or detached to suit its end use. The purpose of my item is to provide a unisex item, worn by all genders. Each aspect links to my three inspirations: World War I structured look, the pleated design of Maurizio Galante and the colourful aspect of Brazilian Carnival. The coat fastens with four single breasted buttons on the front and has cargo style bellow pockets. My decorative-inspired component integrates satin stitched feathers and circles, piping edged with white lace, free-hand motion embroidery, beading and thread painted circles using solvy.
Mia Paull

Multiple techniques are seen throughout the product including lace insertion, gathering, boning insertion, 3D structure design and darting. Multiple elements and principles are also seen on the product including contrast, harmony, unity and emphasis.
Sophie Sellars
My project has been inspired by the cultural influence of the Catholic religion, historical influence of the Victorian era and the contemporary influence of Harry Styles. I have designed and constructed a straight leg, green velvet pant with a multitude of decorative elements along with a sheer, unfitted button up shirt.

My Major Textiles Project is a costume consisting of three parts: Under-breast corset that extends to the top of the hip with the front panels embellished with decorative techniques such as lace, make-your-own fabric and embroider; Mini-dress with a pentagram neckline and layered skirt; Overskirt with bow pleats and round hem creating a dramatic effect whilst the wearer walks. The three monochromatic pieces inspired by Horror Movies, Wicca and Victorian Era fashion can be mismatched to suit a dance part or formal Halloween event.
