Information and Communication Technology
Mount St Benedict College staff and students have access to a rich technology environment with the focus of integrating technology when and where it is appropriate to enhance their learning.
The 1:1 Laptop program provides all staff and students with a standard College device that includes all the software required across all subjects. The laptops operate on a Microsoft environment and are issued on a two year cycle. They include electronic versions of text books, alleviating the need to carry large quantities of heavy books to and from school each day.
All classrooms feature access to interactive whiteboards or projectors and the College wide wireless network enables all users to connect easily to the resources they need, from wherever they may be. Both teaching and non-teaching staff regularly undertake Professional Learning in best practice use of technology. The College ICT Steering Group representing both teaching and non-teaching staff meet regularly throughout the academic year.
Students are encouraged to download and install the College mobile App which provides a convenient way to access information, timetables, live bus arrival and departure information and daily notices.
