Vocational and Education and Training (VET)
Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses provide students with the opportunity to gain practical work skills and knowledge as well as vocational qualifications as part of their senior school studies.
At Mount St Benedict College we are able to offer vocational courses within the College timetable as well as access to a wide variety of courses offered by TAFE NSW and other specialist private providers.
All VET courses count towards completion of either Year 11 and/or Year 12. Students taking these courses are assessed as either competent or not yet competent in their knowledge and work skills against standards set by the related industry. For more information on VET courses please visit the Diocese Broken Bay VET page: Click Here.
An optional HSC exam is available in some courses and if completed can be counted towards a student’s ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank).
