Academy of Dance 2021 Expression of Interest Terms and Conditions
I understand that:
- By becoming a member of the Dance Academy, my daughter is making a year-long commitment.
- The annual fee is non-refundable. The fee is to be paid online atwww.msb.nsw.edu.au/payment. I understand that my daughter will not be permitted to attend any dance classes or be eligible for the Representative Ensemble if fees are in arrears. For any finance enquiries, please contact Fiona Barnett.
Email:fbarnett@msb.nsw.edu.au
Telephone: 02 99800445. - From this activity, my daughter’s name and/or photograph may appear in College publications, including the College website, promotional brochures, newsletters and social media (photographs only).
- Ensemble days and groups may change throughout the year. This is dependent upon teacher availability, the number of new students to the College and my daughter’s ability level - at any stage, should the ensemble teacher feel that my daughter is struggling or finding the level easy, she may be asked to move groups to a level more appropriate.
- I understand participation at school-based activities is a compulsory part of my daughter’s commitment to a dance ensemble.
- My daughter will be at the College by and ready for a prompt start at her scheduled rehearsal.
- My daughter will contact the Dance Academy Convenor, via email, before the class begins, if she is sick and unable to attend the class.
- If my daughter is injured or not well enough to participate but is at school that day, she will still be required to attend lessons, to watch and view the choreography.
- If my daughter is more than 10 minutes late, she may be asked to sit and watch the remainder of the class as I understand it is a safety risk to participate without effectively warming-up.
- I accept that if my daughter misses rehearsals, she may be withdrawn from the Representative Ensemble or removed from sections of the Open Evening Performance.
- If my daughter is unwell or sustains an injury before or during my class, it is her responsibility to tell the Academy teacher.
- My daughter must be dressed in the correct Dance Academy Uniform. Hair is to be tied back off the face for all classes. Footwear will be determined by the Academy teacher.
- No jewellery is to be worn.
- If an item of my daughter’s uniform is not available, my daughter must bring a note signed by myself advising the reason.
- If my daughter travels to the College via public transport, she must wear the full College uniform to school, then get changed into the Dance Academy Uniform at the College.
- My daughter will respect the property of the College and will leave every space used for rehearsals or performances clean and tidy.
- If my daughter displays poor conduct and/or manners, she will be given a warning. If this behaviour does not improve then she will be requested to withdraw from the Academy.
- My daughter will pay attention to any teacher and/or student assistant that is organising any aspect of rehearsals or performance events.
- Should my daughter destroy or lose any part of the costume I understand that I will need to pay for the cost to replace or fix it.
